Because kids should fly kites, not fight cancer
The Children's Cancer Center was founded in 1974 and is dedicated to providing children who have cancer or chronic blood disorders and their families in the Tampa area with the emotional, financial and educational support necessary to cope with their life-threatening illnesses. Our programs include Kids Introduction to Enrichment Services (KITES), peer support and recreational opportunities for teens, the Big Buddy mentoring program, Kanga Krewe, family fun events, ticket bank, holiday adopt-a-family, financial assistance, family support, scholarships, SOAR (Surviving Oncology and Readjusting), Lil' Tales, and camps.
