The Truman Library is one of twelve presidential libraries operated by the Federal government. Since 1957, the Truman Library and the Truman Library Institute have worked together to fulfill the Truman Library's commitment to research and education The Library Institute was organized to foster and assist in the Truman Library's growth and development as a national center for study and research. The purposes of the Institute are to promote research into the Truman administration through the awarding of grants and the sponsoring of scholarly conferences, to assist in the development of the Library's museum and public programs, and to help the Library maintain the integrity of its programs. |
