Providing safety, comfort & hope

The mission of Newhouse is to break the cycle of domestic violence by providing the tools that allow individuals and families to make positive choices and lead self-sufficient lives. Newhouse primarily serves Kansas City's urban core—an area where the majority of people live below poverty level, are exposed to high rates drugs/crime, and lack adequate education and employment skills. Our 88-bed shelter and transitional facility provides safety, respite, and a host of wraparound services to affect a positive change.
