descriptionMission & description | Open Door Mission is a faith and evidence based recovery and rehabilitation program and facility dedicated to transforming the lives of the most severely addicted, destitute, homeless and disabled men in our community. The Mission's goal is to help each person heal holistically - mentally, physically and spiritually. We do this with three programs: RECOVERY: The DoorWay Alcohol and Drug Recovery Program is an intensive and supportive, 7-month, life-transforming residential recovery program with a curriculum of self-discovery and spiritual renewal. After graduation, a Career Guidance and Transitional Living Program prepares men for careers in meaningful jobs. LEARNING: The Center for Education offers GED classes and academic refresher classes for all including adult literacy and computer classes for our residents. HEALING: The Convalescent Care Center is a clean, secure place where homeless men can recover from accidents, injuries, illnesses or surgeries. These men are by referral only. |
