descriptionMission & description | Caridad Center's Mission is to upgrade the health, education and living standards for underserved children and families of Palm Beach County. Our Vision is to eliminate the cycle of poverty for the families that we serve in South Florida. This past year, Caridad Center's Medical, Dental, & Vision clinics realized over 31,000 patient visits. Caridad takes a comprehensive approach to the prevention, education, & treatment of chronic diseases; & promotes healthy lifestyles. Over 12,000 people annually are helped through our health education workshops, community events/health fairs, oral health programs, screenings for HIV & other diseases, breast care programs, & home visits. Caridad's Social Services Department services the working poor inside as well as outside the Center. Our programs include college scholarships, distribution of schools supplies, after-school mentoring, holiday gift programs, & providing living essentials such as food, clothing, rent/utilities, & diapers. |
