What this organization describes

Building communities, strengthening lives
Family Promise develops community-based Affiliate programs that serve children and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness and provides ongoing support for these Affiliates to empower families to achieve and maintain their sustainable independence. Family Promise provides technical assistance and expertise to a national network of more than 200 Affiliates in 43 states, mobilizing 180,000 volunteers, and serving approximately 70,000 homeless family members each year. Our programs address the range of issues affecting low-income families and families experiencing homelessness to help them rebuild their lives and find independent, sustainable housing.
