The mission

What this organization describes

Empowering all girls to be gamechangers
At Girls in the Game every girl finds her voice, discovers her strength and leads with confidence through fun and active sports, health and leadership programs. Girls in the Game empowers all girls to be gamechangers. Girls in the Game knows that girls are strong. And that given the opportunity they're capable of changing their lives and their communities. All they need is a chance. Unfortunately, research tells us that, compared to boys, they aren't always given those opportunities. So in 1995, our founders set out to level the playing field for all girls. Over 20 years later, Girls in the Game has empowered more than 40,000 girls, helping them to grow up happy, healthy and strong.
