Knoxville Opera, founded in 1978, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization presenting productions made possible, in part, by generous funding from our patrons. Knoxville Opera is dedicated to contributing to the cultural enrichment of East Tennessee by providing high-quality, locally produced opera performances. Through its stunning performances of classic opera productions, Knoxville Opera works to educate the community about opera's important cultural and societal role in history.
