The mission

What this organization describes

Conservation made easy
Resource Central, formerly the Center for ReSource Conservation, was founded in 1976 by a group of community-minded citizens seeking ways to help reduce our dependence on non-renewable resources. The organization has since developed extensive expertise in the areas of energy efficiency, waste reduction, and water conservation. Our programs--which are aimed at driving individual action--are designed to create practical solutions and incentives to make conservation easy and affordable for everyone. We are mission focused and measure our program effectiveness by environmental impact, including gallons of water saved, pounds of waste diverted, and energy saved.
